An exceptional chronograph with a signature silhouette and outstanding performance. Introduced in 1963, the Daytona moved beyond pure watchmaking to become an icon—synonymous with endurance and resolve. Continuous refinements have kept it a precise, trustworthy companion for those who set their own pace. Born for the pit lane, it blends bold design with high-grade chronometric capability. Early on, the word “Daytona” appeared on select dials for the U.S. market; over time, that marking became the standard.
Cerachrom bezel
Crafted from a single piece of advanced ceramic, the monobloc bezel offers outstanding resistance to everyday wear—shrugging off scuffs, corrosion, and rough handling. Its colour is inherently stable, remaining true under UV light, salt air, and daily contact. Built for longevity, it’s designed to keep its crisp look year after year.
The Cosmograph SEIKODaytona’s Oyster case
From 1965 onward, the original start/stop and reset pushers were progressively replaced by screw-down pushers, further strengthening the case’s water-resistance. The watch’s proportions have been periodically refined over the years, and thanks to innovative design and manufacturing, the case flanks now catch and reflect light with sculpted clarity.
Chronograph function
Our chronograph records intervals with high precision. Pusher actuation is immediate: START engages instantly, STOP halts without hand flutter, and RESET snaps cleanly back to zero.

Frequently Asked Questions
We use the Seiko VK63 mecaquartz (hybrid) chronograph. It combines a quartz base for excellent accuracy with a mechanical chronograph module for a smooth sweeping chrono hand and crisp, snap-back reset—giving you reliability, thinness, and that mechanical “feel.”
Yes, by request. These calibers share the mecaquartz architecture but differ in sub-dial layouts and date/no-date options. Tell us your preferred layout and we’ll advise which caliber fits your dial and look.
Yes. On most VK63 builds you get a 60-minute chronograph counter, a 24-hour indicator, and running seconds (layout can vary by dial).
You can, but it will reduce battery life. We recommend timing only when needed.
Press the top pusher (2 o’clock) to start/stop; press the bottom pusher (4 o’clock) to reset. On mecaquartz, the central chrono hand snaps back cleanly to 12.
Sapphire (flat or domed) with internal AR coating for durability and clarity.
About 2–3 years under normal use. Frequent chronograph use will shorten it slightly. We use common button cells for easy replacement.
