SEIKOGMT
SEIKOGMT states its purpose in the name. “GMT” denotes Greenwich Mean Time, the mean solar time kept at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London. Since 1884, that prime meridian has been the reference for dividing the world into 24 time zones. This model, inspired by theGMT-Master IIintroduced in 1982, serves the same practical function as its forebear. A triangle-tipped 24-hour hand and a 24-hour-graduated, bidirectional rotating bezel let the wearer read a second time zone at a glance. The essential difference between the two lies in how the local hour is adjusted. On our SEIKOGMT models, the local hour hand moves in one-hour jumps—independent of the other hands and without stopping the movement—so travel changes can be made quickly and precisely.

24-Hour Bezel
The Explorer II adds a 24-hour display: a dedicated hand makes one full rotation per day and points to a fixed bezel with 24-hour graduations. This lets the wearer distinguish day from night—vital in places of perpetual darkness, like deep caves, or continuous daylight, such as the polar summer.

GMT Orange Hand
This is a true GMT: dual time at a glance via a dedicated 24-hour hand and an independently adjustable 12-hour hand. The color-coded 24-hour pointer (often red or orange) tracks home time against the 24-hour bezel, while the local hour hand jumps in one-hour steps to the new time zone—without disturbing the minutes, seconds, or GMT hand.

Oyster bracelet
The Oyster bracelet is a study in balance—form and function, aesthetics and engineering—built to be both tough and comfortable. It features an Oysterlock folding clasp that guards against accidental opening, plus AURO’s exclusive Easylink comfort extension. With a quick adjustment, you can lengthen the bracelet by about 5 mm for extra comfort whenever you need it.
